The theory test

Most states run a short multiple-choice paper on a computer terminal — commonly 10 questions with 6 correct needed to pass, in about 10 minutes. Some states set a longer paper, and several now allow the test to be taken from home after an Aadhaar-based identity check.

Confirm the format before test day

Test format, slot availability and whether the process is faceless are all decisions Tamil Nadu makes and revises. The official portal below is the only authoritative source.
